The game is built on simple arithmetic calculations. If the value of the competitor’s cards is higher than the croupier’s cards without going over 21 the competitor wins. But at the same time if a player’s hand exceeds 21 that is referred to as a "bust" and the player automatically lose.

In one and two deck games games, the cards are left facing down. The players can touch the cards, whereas in the ’shoe games’, gamblers are not permitted to hold the cards that are faced up to him.

Chemin de fer is a casino game built on interconnected actions, where bigger cards left in the deck give the advantage to the gamer and the smaller values favor the croupier. The excitement of the card game is in the changing of advantages back and forth from bettors to croupiers.

Since the player has the entitlement to take action 1st, the player has the advantage to stand on a hand that could go over 21. However if the player and the dealer both bust, the gambler loses. As a consequence gamblers are advised to learn to play their cards properly and guarantee the greatest result, which is based on the mathematical strategy.

The card game of chemin de fer is very simple to learn and even consists of the use of a basic strategy guide at the table for reference, and therefore with little effort the bettors can take correct decisions.
