I have bet on millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have enjoyed online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of money at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it almost impossible to defeat the casino.
I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this method or defeat the casino, however you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the wager back down to the original value.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets very enjoyable on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Palms a couple of years ago with $750 after 20 mins using this technique! And a few weeks ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can squander much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be astonished at the streaks you witness playing this way. Below is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar table.
Bet $5
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the original 5 dollar wager
Bet 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of ten dollar
Bet ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the original ten dollar bet
Wager $10
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Wager 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $20 wager
Wager 20 dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the first $40 bet
Bet $40
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Bet 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the first $80 wager
Bet $80
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of $160
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the original $160 bet
If you left at this moment you would be up $315 !!
It is iffy to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t alter and lower your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
