I have enjoyed millions of hands of 21. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent a lot of cash at vingt-et-un. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to beat the house.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a regular basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get loaded with this tactic or beat the house, still you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that 21 appears to be a match of streaks. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Once I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the wager back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely thrilling at times. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Palms a few years ago with $750 after 45 mins using this tactic! And a number of months ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can lose much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the streaks you notice gamble this way. Here is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Wager 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the original $5 wager
Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of $10
Wager 10 dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $10 wager
Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $20
Bet twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original twenty dollar bet
Bet twenty dollar
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Wager $40
Take $40 paid to you, leave the original $40 bet
Wager 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Bet 80 dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first 80 dollar wager
Wager eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the first 160 dollar bet
If you left at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and lower your bet or the final result will not be the same.
