I have bet on countless of rounds of blackjack. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have played online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of cash at blackjack. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still like the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get loaded with this method or defeat the house, however you will experience a lot of fun. This method is founded on the fact that 21 appears to be a game of runs. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the bet back down to the original amount.
I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets very fun sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a couple of years ago with $750 after 35 minutes using this method! And a number of days ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give up much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the streaks you see betting this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.

Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the original five dollar bet
Wager 5 dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of $10
Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the original $10 bet
Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Bet 20 dollar
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the original twenty dollar wager
Wager 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Wager $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the initial forty dollar wager
Wager 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $80 wager
Bet eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 160 dollar bet
If you left at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your wager or the end result will not be the same.
