I have wagered on countless of hands of blackjack. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was 16. I have enjoyed online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost an abundance of funds at blackjack. The casinos have made it basically impossible to beat the house.
I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have wagered on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this method or beat the casino, however you will have an abundance of fun. This method is built on the idea that 21 appears to be a game of runs. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I bet the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Once I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets very thrilling sometimes. If you win a few hands in series your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Palms a couple of years back with $750 after 35 mins using this method! And a few weeks ago in Atlantic City I left a table with $1200!
You need to understand that you can say good-bye to a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the streaks you notice betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Bet $5
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 5 dollar wager
Wager five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $10 wager
Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial twenty dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Bet $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the first 40 dollar bet
Bet forty dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Wager $80
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar wager
Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Wager $160
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar bet
If you departed at this point you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you must NOT alter and lower your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
